Chainlink and Indonesian Rupiah: reading the rate
This DTCC Trading reference relates Chainlink (LINK) to Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Read the pair and its rate units together to understand which amount a calculation describes. Related reading: crypto. Multiply an amount of LINK by a rate quoted in IDR per LINK to calculate its reference value in IDR. The rate unit matters as much as its value. A rate expressed as LINK per IDR uses the opposite operation. Check input precision and round only the final result. A reference calculation needs a clearly identified data source and observation time. Prices collected from different venues or at different moments need not agree. An unavailable or out-of-date rate cannot establish a current value, and a previous observation should not be presented as a fresh executable offer. The calculated amount and the amount actually received in a transaction answer different questions. A transaction can involve a spread, service charges and network costs. Read each charge in its stated currency and check whether it is included or added separately. This reference does not publish a DTCC fee schedule or promise a final IDR or LINK amount. Market depth affects an executable exchange. The price available for a small amount may differ from the average price across a larger order, and available liquidity can change before an order is filled. A reference value describes the inputs supplied to a calculation; it cannot guarantee an execution price, available balance or settlement time. Asset identity is a separate check from price. Use primary documentation to establish the network and exact identifier for Chainlink. A symbol can be used for different representations, including tokens issued or bridged on other networks. Matching names alone does not establish equivalent rights, custody arrangements or transfer compatibility. Related reading: tools. DTCC Trading focuses on Stellar tokenization and multichain interoperability. On Stellar, a classic issued asset is identified by its asset code and issuer; the network context must also be clear. A currency label in a reference calculation does not by itself identify a redeemable token, its issuer or the terms under which redemption is available.
